Homeschool Beats Academy · Start Here

Welcome to the kit.

Everything your kid needs to make their first beat is right here, and it's free.

You just handed your kid a real creative skill, one that builds math intuition, ear training, writing, and follow-through all at once. This page tells you what's in the kit, what to do first, and how to make it work at home, even if you've never touched a music app in your life.

Your first 7 days

Don't try to do everything at once. Here's the order that works.

1

Today

Set up Soundtrap

Open the Soundtrap Account Setup card in your kit. Sign up free using your invite code RBPPZ2U. Log in, look around, don't touch anything yet. Just open it.

2

Day 1–2

Watch the Mini-Course

The Soundtrap Mini-Course walks your kid from zero to their first loop. Follow the steps in order. Don't skip ahead.

3

Day 2–3

Read the World Beat Index

Flip through Vol. 1 together. Let your kid pick a genre that interests them. That's the sound they'll build toward.

4

Day 3–4

Use the Cheat Sheet and Templates

Open one of the three Beat Templates in Soundtrap. Keep the Producer Cheat Sheet alongside it. Let them experiment.

5

Day 5–7

Finish a beat and submit it

Get one beat to "done," then use the Beat Feedback Pass to send it in. Real feedback on a real beat is where the biggest jump happens.

A note for parents

You don't need to know music to make this work. You just need to show up.

The Parent Guide gives you five questions to ask each week, questions that make you a real conversation partner even if you've never opened a music app. Use it.

When the house goes quiet because your kid is locked in making beats, that's not wasted time. That's focus. That's creativity. That's school.

If anything doesn't work, hit the Tech Helpline. That's what it's there for.

^

The deal

Follow the steps and your kid makes a beat. We've seen it work over and over. The kit is free, so there's nothing to lose and a real skill to gain. All it costs is showing up.

Ready to keep going?

After the first beat, most kids want more. The 90-Day Roadmap in your kit shows exactly what's next, from first loop to first finished track.

When they're ready for direct coaching, the next step is a one-on-one session with Mr. Marc, building a beat together start to finish. Sessions run on Outschool.
